Hands free switch

So I made some mistakes and decided to remake my hands free switch once again. I decided to make a foot pedal type of switch where the bottom of the foot pedal would have something conducive in order to make the circuit a closed circuit. And when the foot pedal was not being pressed, the circuit would be open which would inherently mean the switch would be off. I taped a metal fork to the backside of a good plastic insulator.

  1. I tried updating it in various ways in order to find ways to improve my foot pedal switch. One thing I tried doing was using the Adafruit Feather HUZZAH and the Arduino software in order to make the switch a more seamless process. I thought that I could replace the battery in the first one. I still couldn’t get my system to work I feel like I still have many fundamentals that I’m missing when I am trying to construct a working circuit on the breadboard

  2. Curtis, in the image you posted, you have no power or ground connecting from the board to the LED. Refer to the fundamentals page and look at the section on breadboards to understand how to wire them up.
